The Champion breakaway safety base set is designed to reduce the potential for injuries sustained during sliding. This three base set features a break away base system where the top base pad breaks away from the bottom plate upon impact, protecting players from leg injuries when sliding. The base pad is engineered to maintain vertical rigidity, supporting a player standing on the base. The base pad also maximizes horizontal flexibility so that the pad will flex on impact. The base plate features a streamlined design that is low to the ground to allow the player to smoothly slide over the plate. This baseball/softball base set includes three rubber bases, three rubber base plates, three posts, three ground anchors, and three anchor plugs.
