Rawlings (Schutt) Hollywood Impact Kwik Release, Double First Base

The Rawlings (Schutt) Hollywood Impact Kwik-Release double first base compresses upon impact like other Hollywood impact bases, but with an added safety feature where the top of the base disengages from the bottom platform upon a strong impact, greatly reducing the risk of player injury. For added safety, the double 1st base design includes a regulation-size white base for fielders and a bright orange regulation-size outside base for baserunners to reduce collisions. The double first base is constructed with a one-piece durable rubber mold that will not separate, providing additional player safety. The Kwik-Release technology is configured on the white base where tabs on the underside of the white base interconnect with the tabs of the bottom platform. The tabs are soft enough for players to slide over when the top base disengages. The bottom platform is equipped with a 6" stanchion on its underside for mounting into a ground anchor (sold separately). Rawlings Hollywood Impact Kwik-Release bases are the official recommended base of the Babe Ruth League, and Cal Ripken Baseball and are approved for Little League play.
