This foam learning beam is a part of the Simone Biles collection and is incredibly comfortable and stable for young gymnasts. While competition beams are 16.5ft long, this foam beam is less than 8ft long and is wider at 6 1/2 inches wide. Perfect for preschool-age children or gymnasts who have just joined the sport, the beam tapers to the floor for stability. There is a fear sometimes for younger kids if they're practicing on a wooden or steel beam, but the foam learning beam is perfect for them! The beam can link to other beams via hook and loop fasteners to increase the length. By lengthening the beam, young gymnasts can get better accustomed to walking on a thin surface and practice skills like jumps, somersaults, or scales to work the muscles required for balancing.
