The Rae Crowther football climb sled run block trainer was designed to allow offensive and defensive linemen a realistic game-like target to combat opponents who play low and long by promoting optimal leverage positioning. The climb sled allows players to practice the exact postures and movement patterns required to consistently execute force deflection where the hips become the power source, and the head is naturally drawn back so there is no helmet contact when performed correctly. The climb sled requires proper footwork and will stop moving if the player takes big steps because taking large steps can disable the power generated from your hips. The S2 pad has built into the surface of the pad a breast plate with enough “give” to allow the offensive player to gain a “handle.” With the climb sled, offensive lineman can learn the climb technique; by striking underneath the shoulder plate with an upper cut strike, while using the handles on the breast plate of the defender. The player shaped S2 pad helps the player tap into their hip power and keep their elbows within the frame of their body. The S2 pad includes short stubby arms that mirror the difficulty of hand placement in dynamic combative play. The pad is then leveraged or climbed into a taller position while being driven. The angle of the S2 pad is adjustable, allowing the coach to create more angles or less. Lean pad forward like a player in their stance, or stand pad upright like a pass blocker. With the climber sled, you'll train smarter and more effectively improving your technique, strength, and posture.
