First Team Champ Adjustable Basketball Hoop

The Champ basketball hoop by First Team is an economical adjustable in-ground basketball system that is a great unit for any driveway or backyard home court. The Champ's Insta-Just™ height adjustment mechanism easily adjusts the goal height from 7'6" to 10' in 6" increments with the use of a broom handle. To adjust the goal height you first need to unlock the lowering mechanism by placing the end of the broom handle into the cupped area of the lowering mechanism. Next, push the broom handle up to "pop" the lock mechanism loose, then lower the goal to its lowest point. Then to adjust the goal height you push the unit up by placing the broom handle end under either the bottom of the backboard or the bottom of the rim. As you push the unit upwards, you'll hear the lock mechanism "click" in place every 6 inches. The Champ unit is designed with 18" of overhang (the distance from the front of the post to the front of the backboard set at 10'). The Champ uses a solid 4'x4' single-piece steel post that is buried 36” below the playing surface. An optional bolt down baseplate for the post is available for added stability. A ground sleeve option can also be purchased separately to make the post removable. Optional all-weather Velcro® wrap-around post padding for added safety can also be purchased separately. The Champ basketball hoop system comes equipped with a super-strength flex goal with a nylon net and mounting hardware. The flex goal is direct mounted to the backboard frame, eliminating backboard stress. The Champ system offers a variety of backboard options to choose from, including 54" or 60" widths and clear acrylic or tempered glass.
